Read the full cost
On the online weight-care pages checked in September 2026, a monthly membership was a common charge, with the medicine usually billed on its own.
Ask whether the fee covers an assessment, later questions and ongoing visits. Get the medicine charge on the same written estimate.
Use a price example carefully
Semaglutide is sold as Ozempic and Wegovy. Tirzepatide is sold as Mounjaro and Zepbound.
The following drug-company prices were checked on September 26, 2026. They are starting prices for paying outside insurance.
Wegovy and Ozempic tablets started at $149 a month for the lowest tablet strength.
Zepbound shots in small bottles or pens started at $299 a month for the lowest strength. Mounjaro shots in pens started at $499 a month.
Strength means how much medicine is in a tablet or shot.
Some Zepbound offers required ordering the next supply within 45 days of the last delivery. Missing that window could raise the price.
The amount in a month’s supply differs by product.
The product, its strength and refill terms affect the amount paid.
Ask for the exact product’s price in your proposed plan. These figures are context, not a bill for your care.
Know which price you are reading
A copay is your share under an insurance arrangement. Self-pay means paying outside insurance.
A drug company’s published list price, its price for paying outside insurance, a discount-card price and your insurance share can all differ.
Ask which kind of price the estimate uses and which terms apply to you.
Add tests and later care
Ask which tests are included, what it costs to review a result and what happens if the online assessment needs an in-person visit.
Put delivery and any repeat fees on the estimate too. Ask whether each charge is optional or part of the proposed care.
Look beyond the offer
At the September 2026 check, many drug-company starting offers and savings cards had a December 31, 2026 end date.
That date is a reason to check updated terms; it cannot tell you the price that follows.
Ask what an ordinary later month costs, whether payment commits you to a longer term and how to end the service.
